What are MiThoughts on the World Cup?
Well, here we go……….
This year, the World Cup, the most magnificent soccer tournament in the world, is being held in the African continent, a truly amazing place for this tournament to take place. Teams from all over the world have come to find whether they have what it takes.
America, who really isn't the most popular team in terms of ability to win, is surprisingly doing quite well, having not lost a game yet. Granted, we have not won any games (only tied them all so far), but at least we can't say that we have lost.
I haven't been able to keep up with the World Cup very well, being quite busy, but I have to say that this is and will continue to be a very interesting tournament this year.
May the best team win! No, I'm serious: may the BEST TEAM win, not some team who doesn't deserve it, but just happened by some miracle to have some lucky games where they win against some easy teams, and then somehow manage to go to the finals. That happened all the time when I played soccer. Don't you HATE IT (!) when that happens??? I DO!
You would think that the teams who have done well all year, and have PROVEN that they are the best, should win. But sadly, as well know too well, that is not always the case. Yes, even the great, immortal sport of soccer can have it faults every once in a while. It really is a shame.
I really don't have a clue who is going to win; I even asked Cha Cha, and they don't seem to have a strong opinion either….. Oh well, I guess we will just have to wait and see, won't we?
